Inspiration

this is where i got the idea for my tattoo on my chest. it's on a gate in Norway's Vegaland Park. it's an old Viking symbol.



i had some bum walk past me after surfing sat. tapping his chest and saying, 'yeah, white power'. i was pretty shocked it was interpreted as this. i can see how, maybe if you blur your eyes, it may have some swastika semblance. i yelled to the guy, 'that's not what it is'. he responded saying, 'oh i know, i was just joking'.

A couple of Karm

Johnny and the Fam

toothless after a minor skateboarding accident last week. such a stupid move. i wish i could say i was actually trying anything unique.

the good news is it was my least favorite tooth. also, i've got a new one that seems to work just as well.

Iron Chef: Basil


freakin' awesome night at Mark Crowder's Friday. we had our own version of Iron Chef. we were judged by three judges, with pre-defined criteria:
how well is the color red represented in our dish?
can it be eaten with chop sticks?
is it safe for kids?

my chicken, as you may see in the following pictures, was dangerously undercooked. throwing caution to the wind i advised everyone they'd live if they tried it. haven't been slapped with a law suit yet.

fun night. Karm didn't make it, too much smoke for her. understandably so. next competition is at a non-smokers house so she's got no excuse.

a few of the dishes:
thai mojito's (with basil and coconut rum!!!)
basil white wine chicken
basil potatoe pizza
basil bbq shrimp
