Awesome the Opossum
maiya found a baby opossum at her new apartment. named her Awesome. she sure is. i'm not saying go out and get yourself one, but she sure is cute. the entire time she was over she just hung out on my shoulder, sniffing and licking my ear. i dunno what maiya plans on doing with her later, but at least Awesome is happy and safe from car tires.
also down in LA this last holiday weekend. my mom and i got alot done around the house. got rid of a ton of shit too. little by little we're getting there, and she's getting closer to moving up here where we need her.
finally, and i wish i had pictures to prove it. maybe some will show up online soon. i was in a lip-syncing contest with maiya. we did it to Porcupine Pie by Neil Diamond. holy crap you've got to hear this song, it's insane. i have no idea what drugs Neil was on when he wrote it, but it was something stronger than a pint guinness and a vicodin that's for sure. maiya did the lip-syncing while i danced around her throwing pies at her. it was so fun. i managed to make a mess of the stage. luckily we were last. i think i hit some of the judges. my friends Cray and Steve were handing me pies and also hurling them from the sidelines. i brought about 30 pie tins, and we bought whipped cream, apple sauce and grape jelly (the last two for weight, and mess!). we took 2nd place. beaten by Bjork of all things. that little icelandic bitch!
